In Urdu, our interest has been largely to poetry and to gazals... collections by Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Ahmad Faraz, Habib Jalib...have been sold not just in Urdu but in Devanagari as well...

Urdu aur shayari se Lucknow ki yaad taro-tazaa ho gayi... Mirza Ghalib once said, "Muskurayiye ki aap Lucknow main hain!" (Smile, because you are in Lucknow). Have fond memories of childhood... The stunning architecture, culinary offerings, art and mannerisms of a bygone era...
